Fishing Time

Sam and I woke up EARLY and were on the beach before the sun came up, trying to catch our first Striped Bass.

We got no bites, but it was a fun few hours and, as Sam told everyone that came within talking distance (and that's pretty far for him!), we did end up with a crab on our line. It might as well have been a Striper in his eyes :)

It's a Celebration...

We threw Max his birthday party today and it seemed like everyone had a good time. Max made out like a bandit...it was like Christmas, so thanks to everyone!

The fact that the hat stayed on for as long as it did was surprising!

A few months

So here's Max through his first 10 months...we spaced his 11-month picture because we were preoccupied with 9/11, and by month 12 his sign was destroyed!

Ocean Fishing!

We were supposed to go out fishing on Art's boat today, but the ocean didn't cooperate - things were too rough. Instead, Art, Sam, and I took a shot at fishing from the surf. It was my first time and I loved it! The weather was perfect, Art taught me well, and Sam had a great time running around!

Even though this is a blog about the boys, we thought we'd share a few cool pics from the Renault Winery, where we went, sans boys, for our sixth anniversary

The Birthday Boy!

Sam is four today :) He's a little under the weather, but making the most of his day.

Sam's New Fish

Sam wanted an "enormous anchor" for his birthday, so we got him one, and a fish tank to surround it :) We have to add fish slowly so after filling it up, so we took him to the store and he picked two Red Platies :)

Pumpkin Party

We had Sam's FOURTH birthday party today - a "friend" birthday party with kids from his class. We went to Wemrock and the kids picked pumpkins, went on a hayride, and jumped like crazy in a bouncy house! While Sam was a little under the weather, it seemed like he and his friends had a good time :)
